Problem
When you click on mailbox folder, you do not see any email older then 12 months and a message below the lowest email says "Currently displaying messages newer than 12 months"
RRU has an email archive system that moves emails older then 60 days into an Archive folder, so for most people this might not be an issue but the Default setting for Outlook in Cache Exchange Mode is to only download/show 12 months of email.
If a mailbox has not been converted to the new server, and does not have an associated "archive" mailbox then this message might be displayed in a folder with email older then 12 months.
Solution
The Exchange cache default setting is 12 months. To change this setting do the following:
- In Outlook 2016/Office 365, click FileÂ
- In the middle area, click on the Account Settings  → Account Settings
- On the Email tab, select your Exchange account (your email address), and then click Change
- Move the slider for the Mail to keep offline setting to the time that you want (I recommend -Â All)
- Click Next
- In the message window that appears and states that this operation will not finish until you exit and restart Outlook, click OK
Restart Outlook and the mailbox will start to sync. Please allow up to 30 minutes for all folders to show the older message
