Microsoft Teams - Remote Support

Instructions for allowing IT-Services to connect to your computer remotely.

Please do not try to start a Screen Share, or Remote Connection, unless you are speaking with IT-Services on the phone.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Launch the Microsoft Teams desktop client.
  2. In the Chat tab, select the New Chat icon.
  3. Enter the name of the IT-Services person you will be connecting with.
  4. In the top right of the chat window, select "Share Screen".
  5. Choose Desktop - Screen #1 as the window to share.

  6. The IT-Services person will choose Request Control
  7. You select Allow or Deny.
