How do I disable Lync on Sentinel?
Lync is a chat software similar to MSN or Yahoo Messenger. This software is being evaluated for campus wide deploy. In the meantime, if you want to disable it in Sentinel (Formerly called Gabriel), please see these simple instructions:
When the Lync window opens, click on the Tools sprocket and select Tools --> Options
Remove the check mark beside Automatically start Lync when I log on to Windows and click OK
Click on the sprocket again and this time choose File --> Exit
This will close the application and it will not open the next time you log in
