Chrome Notifications - Virus Warning

Malicious websites can use Chrome desktop notifications to make it appear that your computer is infected.

 Instructions

  1. Launch Google Chrome.

  2. Select the 3-dot menu and choose Settings

     

  3. On the left, select Privacy and Security then Site Settings

     

  4. Find the website in your Allowed notifications list and remove it.

     

  5. To hide or block all notifications:
    * Select Privacy and security
    * Select Site Settings
    * Select Notifications
    * Choose Use quieter messaging or Don’t allow sites to send notifications.

     

     

Highlight important information in a panel like this one. To edit this panel's color or style, select one of the options in the menu.
