Types of components
Components are the building blocks of web pages and each one has specific characteristics. You can build a web page that has just one text block on it or a page made up of more than one component to make your page more vibrant. We will endeavor to keep this page current as new components are made available. If you spot one missing, please email Cecilia David and let her know.

Call to action | Provide a button for visitors to press to encourage them to take an action. Options include: | |
Child pages | Allows the user to add to landing pages blocks that hyperlink visitors to specific things within the website. | See written instructions |
Child page triple block | Allows the user to add to landing pages blocks that hyperlink visitors to specific things within the website in a visually interesting way. | See written instructions |
Courses (Custom Course List) | Allows for programs to do a custom course list to show their list of courses in a way that makes it easier for potential students to understand what they will need to take. These need to be manually entered and kept up. | See written instructions |
Embed View | Embed view brings in a set of page types (e.g., wedding menus) but doesn't allow for them to be worked with individually. As a result this is not used, but another type of component is used instead to bring in the content (e.g., PDF holder or featured links). | |
Featured links | www - Add in a column of featured links that display in a row. HP - Add in 3 across blocks that link to another page on current website or an external website and can have an image. | |
Feature profiles | Spotlight someone from an existing profile page | Watch video (coming soon) |
Feature testimonial | Insert the "pull text" field from an existing testimonial page. | Watch video (coming soon) |
Image call to action | Provide a button for visitors to press to encourage them to take an action with a picture to help highlight and call attention to it. | See written instructions |
Inline call to action | Add in a call to action button that stands alone. | See written instructions |
Media block | Insert a media block. Useful if you wish to share a movie or audio recording. | Watch video (coming soon) |

Table component | Display data in a table format if the data you wish to provide would present well a column & row format. | Watch video (coming soon) |
Testimonials | Ability to add in a quote that is highlighted. Can do it as a stand alone quote or add a picture with it. | See written instructions |
Text and Media block | Display an image and associated text together. You can choose to place the image to the left or right of the text. | Watch video (coming soon) |
Text block | Display text only. You can bold, underline, select heading styles etc. but you cannot include pictures. | Watch video (coming soon) |
