Saving tasks in Outlook

Saving tasks in Outlook

Outlook tasks are not archived. They are deleted after the 60 day archiving period IF they are completed.

If you use the task functionality in Outlook and if you wish to keep the details of existing closed/completed tasks, you can save them to a PDF file:

  1. go to your tasks

  2. right click   image-20240507-152527.png (Tasks - your name)

  3. choose  image-20240507-152606.png

  4. browse to the folder where you want to save the PDF

  5. click Save

You cannot specify which tasks to export to PDF. All tasks are saved during this process.

Because tasks will be deleted every 60 days, you’ll need to add to your PDF every 59 days for as long as you want to keep copies of completed tasks. The process is the same as above except for step 3 because you are appending.

  1. go to your tasks

  2. right click image-20240507-152527.png (Tasks - your name)

  3. choose image-20240507-154042.png

  4. browse to the folder where you want to save the PDF

  5. click Save
