SharePoint Online - Custom Permissions for Files/Folders

Permissions for individual files or folders in a document library can be customized to limit access to private files.

  1. Create or find the file or folder you would like to assign the custom permission to.

  2. Click on the ellipses that appear when you select or hover over the item and select “Manage Access”

3. The Manage access box will open and you can add/remove individual users or groups under Direct Access.
