Taskbar icons resetting after reboot?

 Instructions

Open File Explorer:

  1. Navigate to: %localappdata%/Microsoft/Windows/Shell

  2. Open: LayoutModification.xml

  3. In the <taskbar:TaskbarPinList> section, delete the full row of any icons you don’t want pinned.
