 Logging into Your Avanti Cloud Desktop for the First Time

Before you can log into your Avanti Cloud Desktop for the first time, you’ll need to:

  • Create your Cloud Password
  • Install the Avanti Cloud Client

Create Your Cloud Password

You can set your RDP password from https://selfservice.myavanti.ca/.

Step 1: Go to https://selfservice.myavanti.ca/ and click on Forgot your password? Enter your Username to start the enrollment process.

Additional Info

This is your Avanti RDP Username, which may differ from your Avanti Username.

Step 2: Enter your email address, then select Continue

Step 3: Select your email address from the dropdown to get your verification code, then select Continue


Step 4: Check your email for a verification code from PasswordService@myavanti.ca. Copy and paste the verification code into the box and click Continue.


Step 5: Create a password following the on-screen instructions. Once you're done, click Reset Password.
Congratulations!

Congratulations! You’ve set your password and are ready to log in using the Avanti RDP. You'll see a Password Reset Successful message.




Additional info

These new credentials are only for the Remote Desktop (RDP). Once you're on the Avanti Login screen, you'll either use Microsoft Sign-On or your current Avanti Username/Password.

 Install the Avanti Cloud Client

Follow the instructions below to install the Avanti Cloud Client App to create a shortcut to access your Avanti Desktop; it’s available for anyone using Windows 7 to 11.

Step 1: Go to https://app.myavanti.ca and select Get the app to start the download

Step 2: Once the download finishes, double-click on Setup.exe. It’ll be in your downloads folder.

You’ll need to run this as your windows user; please don’t have your IT run it as an administrator.

Step 3: Select Install once we’ve confirmed the system requirements are met. You can continue to use your computer to work while the installation runs

Step 4: Once the installation finishes, you’ll be prompted to enter your serial number. You can find this in the email we sent

Additional information

You’ll only have to enter your serial number once; after that, we’ll remember it for you

Step 5: You can use this shortcut to access the Desktop for the Avanti Cloud Test Environment.

 Log in to the Avanti Cloud Desktop

You can use this shortcut to access the Desktop for the Avanti Cloud Test Environment.

Step 1: Enter your credentials:

  • Username: CHS\Username
  • Password: The new password you created earlier in Step 3.

Additional Information

You may see an email address listed under More choices. Please disregard and proceed with the login credentials as listed above.

Step 2: Once connected, you should see the Avanti Desktop Login screen. Here, you'll:

  • Enter the same Username and Password you previously used to access the Avanti Desktop
    OR
  • Use Microsoft Single Sign-On, if enabled.
