On Campus
Royal Roads has 50 licenses for the statistical software called SPSS. There are 20 licenses available for students to use in the computers in the LIC lab (Main floor LIC building). The 20 computers are located in the 4 center pods in the LIC lab.
The LIC lab is open everyday from 7am - Midnight. (Not available if there is a class scheduled for that room).
Off Campus
For use of the software on non-university owned equipment, Students and associate faculty have a couple of options:
- Purchasing a 6 or 12 month term license from http://www.onthehub.com/spss/. A 6 month student license is $50 and can be obtained online
- A free version can be provided as licenses permit.
- Associate faculty licenses available for teaching. Ask your supervisor to submit a request to the Helpdesk using the Online Request Form. (Software not available for research)
- Students please have your Research Supervisor submit a request to the Helpdesk using the Online Request Form
- Core Faculty can request a license through Computer Services by email or Online Request Form
