Share Your Videos

There are several ways to share the video under the 'Share' tab. You can share a link to the media page (the page that hosts just this video), you can use embed code to insert the video if you have the right permissions in Moodle or on other platforms. You can use the oEmbed link to embed the video on platforms that use this protocol (like WordPress). You can also generate an email with a link to the media.

Create A Channel

Channels allow you to curate videos uploaded by you and others into groups, share access and create playlists.

Select 'Channels'.

Select 'Create Channel'.

On the channel editing page you will be able to give your channel a name, description, tags and place it in a category. You can also choose from a range of access settings, and choose whether to moderate videos submitted by others. If you select 'Enable Newrow Live Room' you will create a link to a Kaltura Virtual Classroom instance (similar to Zoom).

Select 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

Add Users to your Channel

Once your channel has been created, you can add other Kaltura users to it.

Navigate to your channel by searching for it under 'Channels' from the main menu, or select 'My Channels' using the drop-down menu linked from your name in the upper right.

Select the channel you want to add users for.

From the 'Channel Actions' icon in the upper right, select 'Edit'.

On the editing page, select the 'Users' tab and then select '+ Add Users'.

In the pop-up window you can start entering the user ID or RRU email of someone you want to add and then select from the choices presented. Select the permissions the new user should have within your channel.

Your new channel member will be displayed under the 'Users' tab.

Add Content to your Channel

Navigate to your channel and select '+ Add to Channel'.

On the 'Add Media to Channel' page select the videos you want to add to your channel and click on 'Publish'.

Your video will now be listed under your channel (and will continue to be listed under you My Media page).
