Moodle My Media - Kaltura My Media Upgrade - Replace Embedded Media

June 7, 2022 Update - There has been a delay with the automated fix, please continue to replace any broken embedded videos or audio in your June courses this week and next if you are able to edit or contact us in STUDIO and send a link to the Moodle page. If the videos still show Access Denied after updating, saving the page again should fix it.

How to replace your embedded video or audio

1. Navigate to the page, activity description or forum post in your Moodle course site where your video is embedded. Where you once had an embedded video, you will now have a link:

2. If you click the link you will get a new page that says "Access Denied".

3. If you are able to edit this page, click the gear in the upper right corner and select Edit settings.

a. In the editor, within the "Content" section, place your cursor on a line below the old video link and select the Embed Kaltura Media button:

b. Within the "My Media" window, find the correct piece of media and select the </> Embed or select the gear icon to change the embed size:

c. At the bottom of the page select Save and display:

d. Confirm that the correct video is now embedded and plays, then edit the page once again to remove the old link:

4. If you are not able to edit the page, contact your CTET liaison. Let them know the course number and name, along with the URL for the page that should host the video, and the name of your video.
