Introduction
My Media is set to automatically create and generate captions, providing a text alternative to the video audio. Once the video has been uploaded, please wait several or more minutes for both the video and the captions to finish processing, this will depend on how large the video is.
You do not need to click the Order button anymore. Once processing is complete, click the pencil icon to edit the captions, see Moodle My Media - How to edit video captions. The captions can be edited manually to fix any errors or add descriptions as needed.
Older videos with no captions
If you have an older video with no captions, this article will explain how to create captions for existing videos already uploaded into My Media.
Quick tips to help improve caption accuracy:
- Speak clearly
- Avoid speaking too quickly
- Ensure the the audio quality is good
