Setup Default Email for Samsung Android (Exchange Online)
Only customers that are on the new Exchange online server should follow these procedures. You will be notified when you are moved to the new Exchange Online server.
Use this setup if you wish to receive your RRU e-mail using your Samsung device. Although these instructions are intended for Samsung users, the information is similar for all smart phone devices.
(Staff) Shared Mailbox not available remotely
Please note that shared mailbox are not available remotely through mail apps. To access a shared mailbox while off campus, please use Webmail (students/staff/faculty) or Remote (staff/faculty only) .
A few things to note before you proceed:
Before you proceed please read about the Smartphone/Tablet security policy.
You must have setup Multi Factor Authentication already
(Students) You must have forwarding turned OFF to be able to see email on the server.
(Staff and Faculty) will not see their Online Archive folder
You will need to know the following information:
Your UPN Username (the username you use to log into Moodle + @royalroads.ca. i.e. d1brown@royalroads.ca)
Your Academic Account Password (the password you use to log into Moodle)
Your full email address (<first name>.<last name>@royalroads.ca. IF there is a number in your username, then the number proceeds your last name. i.e. Douglas.1Brown@royalroads.ca)

The following screenshots are steps to connect your Microsoft 365 email.
Open Email icon
Input your UPN (not email address)
Input your password
complete the MFA
Apply security settings as required
Tap “Done” at the bottom of the screen
Input the account name
You can modify it into whatever you like. then click “Done”
