MyCreds™ - more info

Coming June 2022 – MyCreds™ - your digital wallet for RRU official documents

We’ve got some great news! RRU recognizes the importance of your experience and is working to provide more self-serve options.

In the coming weeks, RRU will implement a system called MyCreds™, which is a national, shared service and platform that provides applicants, students and graduates access to a secure, online, password-protected learner credential wallet.

This virtual wallet allows you to view and share your verified and official transcripts, credentials, and academic documents in a digitized format on a 24/7 basis – anytime, anywhere.

Secure, cryptographically signed documents can be sent conveniently to institutions, organizations, or individuals and require no further verification, reducing the time it takes to provide required documentation.

MyCreds™ is the first and only national bilingual system of its kind in Canada. Watch this video introducing MyCreds™ or visit www.mycreds.ca for more details.

What documents?

We’ll be starting slowly, offering confirmation of graduation documents (with standard fees applying) and we'll add other documents over time. We'll also start to receive transcripts for/from applicants.

When?

In June, 2022. Exact dates TBA. Stay tuned for more information.  Professional and Continuing Studies will also begin to phase-in MyCreds as part of its new student system renewal project over the coming months. More details to follow.

What other institutions use MyCreds™?

RRU will be the first institution in BC to implement MyCreds™ but over 100 institutions across 135 countries are already using it including First Nations University of Canada, NAIT, SAIT, University of Alberta, University of Waterloo, and York University. You can see the full list of others using MyCreds™ in the member directory.

Who owns MyCreds™?

The Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC) owns MyCreds™. ARUCC provides leadership in the post-secondary education field and service to its member institutions nationally and internationally, helping foster the advancement of registrarial practices and learner-focused service delivery in Canada.

Who supports MyCreds™?

Digitary provides the underlying engine powering MyCreds™. Digitary was launched in Dublin, Ireland in 2005, and has grown to become a leading online platform for certifying, sharing, and verifying academic credentials. Learner-centric since the very start, Digitary enables millions of learners to share their verified academic achievements online, securely, quickly, and easily. Digitary is now used by organizations in over 135 countries. For further details visit www.digitary.net.

We’re not quite ready

For now, it’s status quo. We’ll keep you informed as we move closer to launch day, which we anticipate to be about mid-June.
