With special permission from the program head, a student may be granted permission to Audit a course.

Student has never taken the course

In Unit4, the course grade must be identified as AU (for Audit) before the course end date.

At the end of the course, as the instructor must enter a grade for all students in order to submit the grades, the instructor can enter any grade for the auditing student. This grade will not show up on the auditing student's transcripts. The computer scripts have been written so that if there is a grade in Unit4 (i.e. "AU"), Moodle cannot overwrite that grade.

Student has taken course previously

In some cases, when the student is not able to be added to the course in Unit4 (i.e. course already taken and student has been previously graded), then the student must be enrolled into the course manually and must be removed from the course manually prior to the course grading to prevent grading issues.
