What Exactly IS "Zoombombing"?
"Zoombombing" refers to a situation where people drop in to a video conference and create mayhem. The video conference is usually of a public nature or a private video conference - and this is important - that wasn't properly secured. The term came out of a number of incidents that occurred (and continue to occur) on the Zoom video conferencing platform. I do need to stress though that ANY video conferencing platform is susceptible to this form of attack.
Rather than get into long dreary explanations about what happens when a video conference gets zoombombed, I'd like to share this video with you. It explains the situation much better than I ever could. Here's the link:

How do you avoid this unpleasantness? Well, have a read of the previous blog post on video conferencing. It has some recommendations for conference hosts /moderators that will go a long way to ensure your next video meeting doesn't get Zoombombed.
Stay safe!
