What is Social Engineering?

Well, to start with, it isn't a group of happy people wearing pocket protectors, scientific calculators hanging off their belts, etc. sitting around a table at the local pub.  Social Engineering is a technique that cyber criminals use to collect your information so that they can use it for their various scams.  Does it work?  Absolutely!  Even the experts occasionally get caught.  Can you do anything to prevent yourself from becoming a victim?  Again, absolutely!.
