How to create a shortcut to the new EMS on your desktop

Get to your desktop by painstakingly minimizing all of your open applications OR by pressing the Windows Key and the letter "D" at the same time:

Then, right click on the desktop and click "New" and then "Shortcut", like so:

Type the URL for the new Virtual EMS into the space provided (or copy/paste this ->  http://services.royalroads.ca/virtualems) and then click "Next"

(Note that http://www.royalroads.ca/bookaroom is also a valid URL for this site.)

Type something descriptive in the space for the name of the shortcut and click "Finish"

The "plain" icon (like the one on the left below) will be replaced with something nicer (similar to, but not necessarily exactly the same as, the one on the right below).

The next time you want to go into Virtual EMS, just double click on the icon.
