For your convenience and confidentiality, your room is equipped with a voice messaging system.  The light on your phone will be on when you have a message.

For Assistance, press the STAR button ( * ) while in the voice mail system.

Your Password

Your initial password is set to the first four letters of your last name.  For example:

  • Bob Smith is SMIT or 7648 and San Ho is HO or 46
  • Use the letters on the telephone keys.  For Q press 7, for Z press 9.

To Access Your Messages

From your room:

  • Lift up the handset and dial 2660.
  • Enter your extension # and press the "#" key.
  • Enter your password and press the "#" key.

From outside your room:

  • From a campus telephone dial 2660, from off campus dial 391-2660.
  • Enter your extension # and press the "#" key.
  • Enter your password and press the "#" key.

To Listen To Your Messages:

  • Log in to your voicemail
  • To play your message, press 2.
  • To stop the playback, press the "#" button.
  • To continue playback, press 2 again.
  • To skip forward, press 3 (moves you quickly through a long message).
  • To skip backwards, press 1 (allows you to review a portion of a message).
  • To move to the next message, press 6.
  • To move to the previous message, press 4.
  • To delete the message after listening press 76.

To Record A Personal Message:

  • Log in to your voicemail
  • Press 8 to reach the mailbox setup menu.
  • Press 1 and follow the instructions.
  • Press the "#" key to stop recording.

Changing Your Password:

  • Log in to your voicemail
  • Press 8 to reach the mailbox setup menu.
  • Press 3 and follow the directions.

Deleting Old Messages:

  • Log in to your voicemail
  • Press 7 to reach the message cleanup menu.
  • To delete the message that you have just listened to, press 2.
  • To delete all messages that you have listened to, press 1.
  • To restore all messages deleted during the current session, press 3.
