After Raiser's Edge has been upgraded, the users will need to set up the new version on their own computers. When they open Raiser's Edge, it will ask to install the new version; they need to say "OK". Once this is complete, they need to open it again and, if there have been any patches installed, they will need to accept those as well. Once everything is installed they can open Raiser's Edge and begin using it.
If there is an issue somewhere and the installation fails, the solution is to uninstall Raiser's Edge and reinstall it from scratch (\\tuvok\RaisersEdge)
