As of July 16, 2020, all new emails from RRU will have the following text appended to their auto-signature:
Royal Roads is located on the traditional lands of the Xwsepsum and Lekwungen ancestors and families.
CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This e-mail and attachments may contain personal or confidential information for the sole use of the intended recipient. If you are not the intended recipient and you have received this transmission in error, please notify the sender immediately and delete the message and attachments.
These statements are not visible in the following situations:
- Will not appear appended to your email in the sent items, the statements will be appended to outgoing email at the server level
- When replying to an email (also the subject cannot contain the characters "RE:")
- When forwarding an email (also the subject cannot contain the characters "FW:")
- In service-related mails (i.e. Moodle forums messages)
- From a message sent from a generic/shared mailbox (i.e.. Computer Services mailbox)
- If you are not a member of @RRU-Community (Managed by HR) or @RRU-Associate-Faculty dist lists
Why do I see the text twice in messages I send?
You may have previously included the text in your auto-signature. Please remove it
