Use this setup if you wish to receive your RRU e-mail using Google GMail on a smartphone.
(Staff) Shared Mailbox not available remotely
Please note that shared mailbox are not available remotely through mail apps. To access a shared mailbox while off campus, please use Webmail (students/staff/faculty) or Remote (staff/faculty only) .
A few things to note before you proceed:
Before you proceed please read about the Smartphone/Tablet security policy.
You must have setup Multi Factor Authentication already
(Students) You must have forwarding turned OFF to be able to see email on the server.
(Staff and Faculty) will not see their Online Archive folder
You will need to know the following information:
Your UPN Username (the username you use to log into Moodle + @royalroads.ca. i.e. d1brown@royalroads.ca)
Your Academic Account Password (the password you use to log into Moodle)
Your full email address (<first name>.<last name>@royalroads.ca. IF there is a number in your username, then the number proceeds your last name. i.e. Douglas.1Brown@royalroads.ca)

The following screenshots are steps to connect your Microsoft 365 email.
Open Google icon.
Open Gmail icon inside Google window then click the three short lines that the red arrow points in the below diagram.
A menu pops up, scroll down to the bottom and tap on Settings.
You will see a screen similar to the following diagram. tape on “Add account”.
From the following diagram, you will start to add your RRU email. Tap on “Exchange and Office 365”
In put your email address in the Email field as following. Tap on Next.
Sign in window will appear. input your UPN in the sign in field. Tap on Next.
Enter your password. Tape “Sign in”.
Follow the screen to do your MFA.
After doing your MFA, Tap on Done.
You are done with RRU email settings with Gmail on your smartphone.
