Option 1 - Manually Recreate the icons

  • Right-click on a blank area on your desktop and choose New → Shortcut

  • Paste "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE" click Next

  • Name it whatever you want or leave the default name

  • Click Finish

You can do this for other office applications, just replace Outlook.exe with Winword.exe, Excel.exe, or PowerPoint.exe.

You can also copy these shortcuts in the following folder so the icons appear in your start menu:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Option 2 - Extract the following Zip File

We have also created the following file to restore Office icons and others.

Download the Zip and save the icons to your desktop.

This file includes the following shortcuts:

  • Chrome

  • Firefox

  • Creative Cloud

  • Excel

  • Microsoft Access

  • Publisher

  • Microsoft Teams

  • OneNote

  • Outlook

  • Powerpoint

  • Visio

  • Word

  • No labels
