I get an error what I launch Adobe Acrobat - "...does not match the Egress IPs...."

\

The message means Adobe is activated on too many computers.  in order to reduce the number of devices, you need to do the following:

  • Close all Adobe products
  • Open Windows Explorer
  • (Make sure View → Hidden Items is checked off)
  • Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\OperatingConfigs
  • Clear out the folder
  • Re-start Adobe again
  • A message that Adobe is installed on too many machines should now pip and give you the option to deactivate a license

May Require a Privileged account

If you get a message saying that you need to log in to delete the files, please contact Computer Services for assistance.

 Original unproven theory

This means the Adobe Acrobat Software was installed from the Adobe website rather the Software Center.

You can bypass this error temporarily by deleting all files in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\OperatingConfigs

The permanent fix is to uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Acrobat and re-install through the Software Center.  (I recommend making sure Adobe Creative Cloud is available in Software Center BEFORE you uninstall.)

If Adobe Creative Cloud is NOT in Software Center, assigned ticket to PD-RAID to resolve this issue.

I do not like the new Adobe Reader Interface

You can disable the new Acrobat interface from the Home menu

  • No labels
