The Avanti payroll system is having issues. Most people are unable to sign in and are seeing a "This page isn't working right now" message.
We are investigating.

On Wednesday, September 18th starting at 7pm (PT) and continuing until 11pm a vendor performed upgrade is expected to cause an service disruptions to the payroll system.

The following services may experience brief service disruptions during the Thursday, September 19th maintenance period (4am-8am PT)

Beginning on Friday, September 20th at 9pm (PT) and continuing until Sunday September 22nd at 9pm, a vendor performed upgrade is expected to cause an service disruptions to the HRSmart system.

Why is it offline?  
We need to migrate data into Unit4 (the Resource Management System) so that it’s available to Chef when it goes live on Tuesday, September 24. 

 What should you do if you need to do something in CAMP during the outage week?  
Just go to CAMP as you normally would. Instead of the data entry/search screen, you will see information to guide you to the right place for things like: 

·       Adding a new record to CAMP to get a computer account 

·       Updating an existing record 

·       Terminating an existing record 

MFA will be enabled for some non-students today. You may be asked to authenticate using your second factor for any O365 app, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc. when using your home computer to access RRU resources AND when using your work computer to access RRU resources. It is possible that you will be asked to re-sign in to apps you are using on your phone such as MS Teams.

RRU Campus Internet Issues

12:30pm, Sept 9th

We have implemented our interim solution to ensure stability for the afternoon.  We will need to enable the primary connection again in order to do troubleshooting with our providers (which will reintroduce the internet issues) but will ensure stability for the Campus Conversation at a minimum and schedule the troubleshooting to minimize issues for the community as best we can.


11:44am, Sept 9th

We are going to move our main internet connection over to our backup connection. This will happen over the noon period.  There might be an addition blip as we perform some technical updates with our network settings.


Since early this morning Sept 9th, there are intermittent problems with the internet connection to the RRU campus causing slowdowns.

We are working with BCNET (our contract is with them) to sort out an interim solution to improve stability until the Rogers issues can be addressed.
