Moodle - Forum: Unable to see forum post
If you receive a notification that there is a forum post but can't find it, it may be in a forum that is set to visible groups. Forums set to visible groups are divided into groups for posting, but everyone is able to view the posts. To select which group forum you'd like to view select the visible group from the menu once you click on the forum activity:
