To request access to the Royal Roads Enterprise SurveyMonkey account, please take the following steps:
Staff - have your supervisor submit a ticket through the Help Desk requesting access for their specified colleagues. Note that access to SurveyMonkey requires supervisor approval so it is best if they submit the ticket.
Faculty -
Associate Faculty for Research - No accounts for associate faculty unless they are working on a specific research project approved by the REB and VPA provost in conjunction with a core faculty member –
Core faculty member must make the request on behalf of the associate faculty member, indicating that this is for university-sanctioned research.
If the research has been approved by the Research Ethics Board (REB) Computer Services will need a copy
We will get the appropriate approval before we proceed.
Faculty or Research assistant for Class assignment - If an Faculty or Research Assistant on behalf of a faculty wishes to use SurveyMonkey for a class assignment, the request can be made through CTET for access as a teaching tool – CTET would make the request for the course instance, Computer Services will provide the license. Using SurveyMonkey as a tool for all students in a course might be arranged on a demonstration basis, rather than providing each student with a license for research ethics considerations. This would have to be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Once Help Desk has configured your SurveyMonkey account access, you will be sent an email with instructions on where and how you can login to the Royal Roads Enterprise SurveyMonkey account.
SurveyMonkey has been integrated with our single sign on service similar to some of our other cloud based services like HR Smart. This will require you to login through http://surveymonkey.com/user/sso/rru/. You will not be able to login to the Royal Roads SurveyMonkey account from the standard SurveyMonkey login page.
Submit a Request (You must first enter your full RRU email address (firstname.lastname@royalroads.ca) and then if prompted to log in, enter your shorter username@royalroads.ca and regular password. If you do not have a FULL RRU email address, you may register with your personal email address or use the email contact form below.)
