Computer labs are provided for classes and for drop in use when not booked for classes.  To print on an RRU printer, you must be logged in with your Academic Account and have money on your print account.

Standard Software

All computers in the computer labs have the following software installed:

  • Fully functioning Windows 10 operating system with standard suite of Windows 10 utilities and software or Mac OSx
  • Microsoft Office 365
    • Word
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • OneNote
    • Outlook
    • Publisher
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Microsoft Project (Windows only)
  • Firefox
  • Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge (Windows only)
  • Additional software may be available in the Software Center (SCC) (Windows only)
  • Papercut MF (Print account manager) (Windows only)
  • If  you need to install a printer, you can do that with these instructions (Windows only)

Available Computer Labs and Hours:

Library Lab

  • (Check the Library website for hours of operation)
  • Color Copier/Printer available inside the lab (called LRC Student Copier - Default)
  • Along with the standard software, the following specialized software is installed on the computers in this lab:

    • IBM SPSS (selected machine(s)

    • Minitab

    • ArcGIS (selected machines)

Sequoia Lab

  • Available 24hr a day except when booked. Please note that exterior doors to the Sequoia building will be locked after hours. For after hours entry, please contact Security.
  • To book for a class (staff and faculty), please use web EMS. If you require assistance, please email Scheduling.
  • Lab contains 40 Windows computers and 9 Mac computers
  • Along with the standard software, the following specialized software is installed on the computers in this lab:
    • GaBi Education Network
    • IBM SPSS
  • The Mac computers also have installed:
  • B&W printer is available inside the lab (called LIC Lab - Default for the main lab in rm108)
  • Color Copier/Printer available in the Business Centre just outside the lab behind the Helpdesk and Gift Shop (called LIC Student Copier - Default for machines located there)
  • B&W printer available in the 2nd Floor hallway (called LIC 2nd Floor Hallway - Default for machines located there)

Please enjoy the use of the following spaces designed for your laptop

  • The multiple laptop carrels at the back entrance of Grant
  • The laptop connections in the first 5 study carrels in the library

We thank you for not disconnecting the network cables from the lab computers
