Workspace Considerations:

Your remote workspace will be considered an extension of the University’s workplace and therefore will be subject to and governed by applicable Workers’ Compensation legislation and WorkSafe B.C. Check out RRU's Occupational Health and Safety policies. You will be expected to comply with normal reporting requirements for any work-related accident or injury and to ensure that the designated work space is safe and free from hazards.

We have some suggestions for good Workspace Ergonomics

Home IT Equipment

We are unable to supply any equipment for Blended Work Arrangement at-home use.

If you have not been issued an RRU laptop, your own computer should meet the Computer Requirements for Online Learning.

If you have been issued an RRU laptop, you will be able to connect to the RRU network as if you were on site via the Direct Access connection already configured on your laptop. If you are considering a dock to use at home with your RRU laptop we have some things to consider.

If you are experiencing connection problems or video meeting problems, take a look at the Wi-Fi trouble shooting and alternative solutions on the Internet Connection at Home page
