A recent change by Avanti on July 26 is now forcing all accounts to follow the procedure below to log in. So even though this procedure rolled out in 2022, and maybe you have never logged in this way before, this is the new way to log in now.
Avanti is used to access you pay stubs and other related pay information, and submit leave requests and timesheets. This site is only available to staff/faculty on payroll. The account is created by Payroll sometime after your first day of employment and before your first pay day.
The electronic pay statements are usually updated at some point during the day before payday (i.e. usually Thursday for Friday paydays). The following are the instructions for viewing and/or printing your pay statement
How to log in
It is recommended that you log into Avanti with Edge or Internet Explorer
Go to https://myavanti.ca/rru
Please click on Sign in with Microsoft
Please enter your RRU Office 365 username (ie d2brown@royalroads.ca) and regular RRU password if prompted.
Refer to the menu options on the top of the screen and select Pay Statements.
On the left side of your pay statement listing, you will notice a couple of icons: a view folder and a printer. Click the folder to view the details of your pay statement or click the printer icon to print out a hard copy.
Please note that at such time when you are no longer an employee of RRU, you will lose access to this function; as such we do recommend that you print your pay statement for your personal files.
(Please note that if you have already logged into other Office 365 products or websites on the computer you might not be prompted for a password)
Troubleshooting
"It appears you don't have PDF support in this web browser."
This error occurs if you are not logged into Avanti with Microsoft Edge or Microsoft Internet Explorer.
You have two options to get past this error
In Avanti, click direct link to download a PDF version.
View the page using Microsoft Edge
After entering username and password, the screen refreshes back to the login page with no error
This error occurs if your Office 365 username is not correct in the payroll system.
Please contact Computer services via the info below and we will verify the information with Payroll.
Where did my pay stubs go?
The Pay stubs are now under the Personal → Compensation menu
For a break down of the take home pay or deductions click on one of the colored boxes below Gross Pay or Total Benefits
Alternatively you can download a PDF document that is more like the traditional pay stub.
