On the PCS site, you will need to go to the Student Portal → Create Account → Validate Account.
Enter your old RRU username and add @royalroads.ca. (ie. d2brown@royalroads.ca) Your old username might have contained a number. If you do not remember your username check your old emails or give the Computer Services helpdesk a call at 250-391-2659 or (866) 808-5429.
Enter ANY password. It does not matter what password. This triggers an email that they must then follow to activate and set a password.
If you got the username correct, you will get a confirmation that an email has been sent. It has been sent to your personal email account.
In email click Verification Link
Enter a new password, confirm the password, confirm you are not a robot and then click Create password
You should get a confirmation screen confirming your account was re-activated.
Click another Validate account button.
You will be asked to login with the username (username@royalroads.ca) and your new password.
Review the info on the page, (Enter +1 for Canada/US even if it looks like it is entered already or whatever your country code is), check the boxes and click Register
You will get a final confirmation that your student account was finally activated
