Moodle My Media - How to add SRT caption files to a video

Introduction

SRT Caption files add captioning to My Media videos. Captioning displays the words spoken in the video in text that appears on the video. 

How to add an SRT caption file

• From Moodle, click on the User menu in the top right and click My Media.

• Next to the video that you would like to add an SRT caption file to, click the Edit button.

• Click on the Captions tab.

• Click on the Upload captions file button.

• Browse for the file.
  Select the language for the file.
  Enter a label for the language (e.g., "English").
  Click the Save button

• When the video is embedded anywhere it will automatically include the captions.
