Please note: if you are using a device that is not managed by RRU, you will only have access to the internet regardless of which wireless network you choose. Equipment managed by RRU The intention is that all RRU managed equipment can connect to the wired network (by plugging a network cable into the wall) or the new wifi network and be fully connected to all usual resources regardless of whether the staff/faculty is in their own office or a different office, breakout room, public space etc., giving you the flexibility of moving about as you work. (Reminder: This applies only in the buildings where the new network is installed) A managed device is one that:
If you acquired a device using research funds or faculty ProD funds, it may or may not have a white asset tag and may or may not be managed. Some research or faculty ProD purchases were facilitated in IT Services and some were completely independent. We may have facilitated the purchase but there was no requirement for the computer to be managed, so it was not. If you are using a device acquired in one of these ways, and it's not behaving the way you'd expect while on the network, please ask us if it's managed and we'll go from there. (Please give us the asset tag number so that we know what to look for).
Equipment not managed by RRU A personal device that you brought from home is not managed by RRU. A device acquired through research or faculty ProD funds may not be managed by RRU.

Please connect to eduroam (not Eduroam.)
Note that if you are staff/faculty located primarily on-site, you should be connecting to the RRU ID instead.
