  • You probably received a link to your course in an email, along with an enrolment key. Go to your email and click on the link to your course (or search for your course in Moodle under 'Site home' at the top left and click on it). Once you've clicked on the course link in your email you should be prompted to enter your self enrolment key as shown below. Enter your enrolment key and then select the Enrol me button. Note that the enrolment key is case sensitive. If you receive an error entering in the enrolment key, ensure that you are typing the enrolment key exactly as you received it and that you are trying to enrol into the correct course.

  • You have enrolled in your course. Enjoy!

Can't login to Moodle

If you cannot log in to Moodle, navigate to https://csonline.royalroads.ca/moodle and select the Forgotten your username or password link. Please test using your email address and any email addresses you may have used to create your account. You should receive the reset email very quickly if your email address is in the system (within seconds if your email provider isn't slowing it down).

Can I use my existing RRU account?

Staff/instructor accounts may be used to log in to CS Moodle if the accounts are active (old, deactivated accounts will not work). Student accounts may not be used to log in to CS Moodle. If you're an RRU student please create a new account.

Which email address should I use to create an account on CS Moodle?

In most cases it doesn't matter. When creating an account on CS Moodle people usually use their personal email addresses to ensure they continue to have access. You may also use an RRU email address (if you're an RRU student) but you may lose access later when your RRU account (and email address) is deactivated.
