Default Browser

 Instructions

  1. Launch Chrome or Firefox.

  2. Within the 3-dot menu in the top-right, select Settings.

  3. Chrome: Select Default browser then Make default.

  1. Firefox: Select Make Default…

  1. After selecting Make Default, you should see the Default apps window.

  2. Select the app listed under Web browser then choose your preferred browser.

  1. Configure Microsoft Teams to use the new default:

  2. Select the 3-dot menu from the top-right, then select Settings.

  1. Select Files and links.

  2. Set File open preference → Desktop App

  3. Set Links open preference → Default browser

     

  4. Configure Outlook to use the new default:

  5. Select File Options.

     

  6. Select Advanced then set links to open in default browser instead of Edge.

 

 

Highlight important information in a panel like this one. To edit this panel's color or style, select one of the options in the menu.
