Workstation Setup
Computer Cables
Red Circles  : DisplayPort Cables - These are the most commonly used cable to hook up a monitor.
Blue Circles : USB Connection - The connection used for most computer peripherals (Mouse, Keyboard, Webcam, Printer).
Green Circle : Ethernet (RJ45) - Internet connection. This typically comes from the "PC" port on the back of the VOIP phones.
White Circle : 3-pin Power - Most workstation setups have one of these for the computer and one for each monitor.
Desktop Setup
Red Squares: DisplayPort Cables -
Blue Circles : USB Ports - There are 6 USB ports on the back of this computer, and 4 in the front. It doesn't matter which USB port you use.
Green Circle : Ethernet (RJ45) - Internet connection.
White Circle : 3-pin Power - Plug into powerbar.
Orange Square : 'Audio Out' is green. 'Microphone In' is pink.
Example of completed setup :
Laptop Dock - Flat style
Green Square : Headset Jack - Single plug for audio out and microphone in.
Yellow Square : Lenovo Power. Large brick with yellow square plug.
Red Square : 2x DisplayPort.
Blue Square : USB Ports (Yellow is always on, Blue is USB 3.0, small round plug is USB-C).
Green Square : Ethernet (RJ45).
Laptop Setup - USB-C
Orange Square : USB-C. Laptop connects to this port using a USB-C cable.
Yellow Square : Lenovo Power. Large brick with yellow square plug.
Red Square : 2x DisplayPort 1x HDMI.
Blue Square : USB Ports.
Green Square : Ethernet (RJ45) - Should be connected to the 'PC' port on the back of your VOIP phone.
Blue Square :Â USB Ports dedicated to mouse and keyboard.
Monitor Setup
Rotate the monitor to make plugging-in easier.
Blue Square : Needs to be connected if you want to use the USB ports built into the monitor.
Yellow Square : VGA - Older standard, not often used.
Green Square : HDMI - The PC in this picture doesn't have an HDMI input. Have to use DisplayPort.
Red Square : DisplayPort - Can be plugged into either of two ports available on the PC.
White Square : Power
