Recommended Communication software

While studying at RRU, you will be required to collaborate with other menbers of your class on various projects.  Your learning platform, Moodle, has many tools to assist you, however some students have found it is sometimes helpful to have another instant messenger (IM) tool to allow you to communicate.  Below are some of the utilities we recommend*.

• Skype -You can chat away with free Skype-to-Skype calls and never worry about cost, time or distance.  Also, Skype has recently replaced MSN Messenger and can use all MSN contacts.
• Facebook Messenger - Perfect for people that already have a Facebook account.  Only works with other Facebook contacts tho.
• Trillian - Cross platform (Mac, Windows, Android, iOS), Multi-Protocol (Yahoo, MSN, Facebook, Skype, Google, MSN, AIM, ICQ, XMPP) IM software.  Great for people with mutliple IM accounts, or for people who need to contact people on other services.
