Copying for Students

The library copier no longer uses coins – instead, you’ll log in using your student/staff/faculty number

Copying/Scanning

If this IS your first time using the copier or scanner function on this unit, you will need to create a PIN.  To do that:

  • Enter your userid (your student/staff/faculty ID number)
  • Tap ‘Next’
  • Leave the PIN field blank
  • Tap ‘Login’
  • Tap ‘OK’ when asked “Need a PIN?”
  • Enter your PIN
  • Confirm your PIN
  • Tap ‘Set PIN'

If this is NOT your first time using the copier or scanner function of this unit:

  • Enter your userid (your student/staff/faculty ID number)
  • Tap ‘Next’
  • Enter your PIN (you would have set this up the first time you used this unit)
  • Tap ‘Login’

Printing

No special action is required to print b&w from your computer to this unit.  This new unit is named the same as the old unit.

  • Click File, Print
  • Select the correct printer/copier from the list of those you have connected (this one is called LRC Student Copier)
  • Change the quantity, double or single sided etc.
  • Come pick up your print job

But because this is a b&w/color combo copier, you can also print in color by taking these steps from your computer:

  • Click File, Print
  • Select the correct printer/copier from the list of those you have connected (this one is called LRC Student Copier)
  • Click Printer Properties
  • Near the bottom of the window, choose color
  • Change any other settings you need to change – the quantity, double or single sided etc.
  • Click OK

The screen you will usually want to see when you walk up to a copier is the login screen:

If you don’t see the screen on the left, press on the little Papercut symbol on the display that looks similar to this:

Still don’t see it?  Press on the ‘back’ button on the lower part of the screen.
