Software Discounts

A Microsoft Office 365 subscription is free to all Students, Faculty and staff

With the exception of Microsoft Office 365, Royal Roads does not have any other agreement in place for software at a discounted price.  

As with all educational institutions, active Students, faculty and staff are eligible to purchase software at a discounted price through many company sites as long as they provide their RRU email address when registering.

Requirements for purchase in the Adobe Education Store:
You will be required to fax or email a valid copy of academic identification after your purchase is completed. Only after receipt and validation of your identification will your product be made available to you.

At the time of the purchase via the online store or by phone, you won't need any verification information.  However, after you have placed your purchase, you may be contacted for further information.Make sure you have your Staff or student # on hand to get the deals.  Staff can also send Apple a copy of their Pay statement and students can send a copy of a tuition receipt.

MalwareBytes

Currently MalwareBytes is offering students a 4 year premium account for $7 Canadian

Please check MalwareBytes regularly for deals.  The free version does offer good protection for your computer.

NVIVO 

NVIVO offers a limited 12 month license to students with a valid student ID at a fraction of the cost.  Please see this page for additional details:

A license is available to students with approval from research supervisor. Ask your supervisor to submit a Request to the Helpdesk using the Online Request Form.
