Web browser issues: Resetting or refreshing your browser

If you're having issues with one web browser but find switching to another browser resolves the issue, you may be able to "reset" or "refresh" your browser to solve the problem. Resetting the browser is a bit different in each browser, but it usually retains your bookmarks and resets everything else. If you have your browser significantly customized you will likely want to spend some time re-customizing it after resetting it, so keep this in mind when you reset it. You may want to note any add-ons or extensions before you reset as they may be deactivated or be removed.

Once you've reset your browser try whatever it was that wasn't working before you start customizing the browser again (e.g., adding extensions or changing the default settings), as one of your customizations may be causing the issue.

The following links provide more information and instructions on resetting your browser:

Safari does not have a reset feature. You can try uninstalling it and reinstalling it or try another browser.

Internet Explorer is not supported by either Microsoft or RRU.
