Printing - choose b&w first!

Welcome to Royal Roads, where all staff, faculty and students strive to be very environmentally aware and as a result, try to keep their printing to a minimum.  You are invited to join us in those efforts  :)

But sometimes, we know...  you need to print.   

You may print to the printer of your choice from any that are on campus, without the requirement for a printing code.  The printers are located:

• in all student labs except Millward 4th floor and Millward 6th floor (they share the printer that is located on the 5th floor)

• on nearly all floors in all buildings on campus

As colour printing is very expensive, we thank you for:

• ensuring that a b&w printer is set as your default printer (vs. a colour printer)

• ensuring that you print test/draft documents of any kind to a b&w printer (vs. a colour printer)

(Did you know that having ONE link or email address in a document (both of which tend to be coloured in your document) will cause the printer to recognize that it needs to use the (more expensive) coloured ink!!!!)
