Who can print/copy?

RRU students in credit programs

RRU staff, faculty, associate faculty

RRU students in non-credit courses. (Your print account is not enabled by default. Submit a ticket Computer Services to request that we enable your print account. Once enabled, you can print on campus the next business day.)

Your printer/copier login

When logging into the Papercut dashboard, use your usual RRU Login and password.

How to print

From an application like Word, select File, Print.

Students: you can find your printout on the nearest printer unless you selected something different.

Everyone else: you can find your printout on your default printer unless you selected something different.

How to copy

If this IS your first time using the copier or scanner function on this unit, you will need to create a PIN.  To do that:

  • Walk up to any printer/copier

  • Enter your resource or student id

  • Tap Next

  • Leave the PIN field blank

  • Tap Login

  • Tap OK when asked “Need a PIN?”

  • Enter your PIN

  • Confirm your PIN

  • Tap Set PIN

  • Walk up to any printer/copier

  • Enter your resource or student id

  • Tap Next

  • Enter your PIN (you would have set this up the first time you used this unit)

  • Tap Login

Check your print balance & print activity

Log into the PaperCut Dashboard or click on the Print Balance Notification image on your desktop if you are logged into an RRU computer.

Printing from personal computers

Printing from personal computers to RRU equipment at Colwood Campus is not supported.

Paper & supplies

If a lab or other student accessible space is low on paper, please let us know:

  • M-F 7:30-4pm: phone 250-391-2659 or send e-mail to computerservices@royalroads.ca

  • Outside these hours: call security at local 2525 and they will assist you.

If an office printer/copier needs supplies, contact an employee in the area, who will follow established processes to replenish supplies.

Submit a ticket
To submit a ticket, you will be required to log in using your FULL Royal Roads email address (detailed instructions here)
New! If you do not have a full RRU email address (students not currently in a credit program and/or visitors), you can create a portal account using your personal email address.
