Microsoft Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) Pop-Up

Microsoft has started a multi-week campaign to encourage MFA users to use the Microsoft Authenticator app on a cell phone.

This campaign will present a pop-up during the MFA process for people who have elected to use the phone call or text code (SMS) for multi-factor authentication.

Microsoft is doing this, because using the MS Authenticator app is a more secure method to authenticate than the txt message or phone call.

The pop-up should look like this:

Microsoft. Improve your sign-ins.

You can select the “Not now” on the left, or if you chose, should be able to select “Next and walk through the steps to set up the Authenticator app on a cell phone. The step-through should look like these instructions from Microsoft.
